Intuit Group Manager Marketing - Product Marketing/Innovation in San Diego, California

Overview

The U.S. Online Accountant Marketing team in Intuit’s Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) is responsible for growing revenue and market share for our range of online accounting products. This team develops deep customer insights and product expertise to define target customer audiences, winning positioning and messaging, and innovation with cross-functional teams to execute. The team partners closely with Product Management, Analytics, Research, Design, Finance and Operations teams utilizing insights to inform product and commercialization roadmaps. This leader is responsible for innovation toward in year revenue goals, as well as a key driver for our 3-year plan.

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Group Marketing Manager - Product Marketing responsible for revolutionizing and delivering our vision of an accountant platform addressing their needs from entire E2E experience, including onboarding clients, workflows, and processes.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering breakthrough technology and experiences at scale in close partnership with data analytics, market research, product leaders, and senior leadership. You have demonstrated excellence in the core skills of PM, from deep customer empathy, and strong analytical and data skills, to rallying a team and an organization around the most important priorities. You will lead a team of skilled product managers and coach them in the craft of product marketing.

What you'll bring

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product marketing and/or innovation

  • Track record of listening and working closely with customers & partners to identify opportunities and convert them into inspiring visions, strategies, roadmaps, and priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to use structured, data-backed approach to prioritize and make decisions

  • Reputation for being passionate about inspiring teams to ship new innovations that also lead to driving big results

  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills - leading execution across teams, influencing across organizations

  • Demonstrable technical depth and curiosity in SaaS software development

  • Undergraduate degree required; computer science preferable; MBA is a plus; equivalent experience will be considered

How you will lead

  • Conceptualize, identify, and spearhead the biggest opportunities to build a Platform of choice for Accounting firms to run their business and delight our mutual customers

  • Lead strategic initiatives, including development of clear action plans, identification of success metrics and targets, and management of timelines

  • Leverage customer insights, competitive understanding, and data analytics to unlock growth opportunities and influence product and messaging roadmaps

  • Size new opportunities and articulate actionable recommendations that drive business impact; proactively identify roadblocks and suggest alternative solutions

  • Leverage the appropriate learning strategies, including qualitative and quantitative consumer research and A/B in-market testing to roll-out experiences and creative that deliver improved business outcomes

  • Create clear requirements that inspire cross-functional partners to conceptualize and ship awesome experiences where accountants will work effortlessly and seamlessly to delight customers

  • Comfort with ambiguity to bring a structured approach to problem-solving, including data and pattern analysis to spot new trends

  • Turn insights into recommendations for accountant experience and process improvements and efficiency gains

  • Raise the bar on yourself and your peers by continuously learning and gaining deep customer empathy

  • Keep an outside-in view of the landscape by staying up to date on industry trends and how Intuit can be catalyst

  • Identify the intersection of accountant needs and business opportunity

  • Ability to define monetization opportunities of accelerated adoption while creating new revenue streams

  • Partner with Sales and other partner teams for ongoing customer and prospect feedback loop

  • Develop messaging hierarchy and positioning for continuous roll-out of new features, with an eye towards providing robust value differentiation

  • Represent the voice of the customer at the table and provide product marketing leadership across product, marketing, sales and other partner teams

Deliverables

  • With partnership of product teams, delivery of platform solutions in fiscal year while building solutions for longer term

  • Partner with market research team to validate hypothesis and inform recommendations

  • Build positioning foundation to transition to GTM teams for execution upon launch

  • Example Deliverables: Defined value proposition, market sizing and business cases

  • Enable the go-to-market and partner teams by creating the messaging, positioning and enablement materials to be used across key channels and customer segments

  • Lead development of marketing assets (e.g. videos, playbooks, etc) to support the value proposition

  • Coach team of 4 to build pipeline of innovation and link to cohesive product strategy
