Hiring Full Time Forklift Operator

• Operate a sit-down forklift to pick and pull orders, and load/unload trucks.

• Spend 60% of your time on the forklift and 40% on manual labor.

• Interact with over 100 customers daily at the will call area.

• Perform general labor tasks like wrapping products, picking products by hand, and rearranging the warehouse.

• Ensure the work area is clean and meets safety standards.

• Provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Use a forklift to handle orders and load/unload trucks.

• Pick orders from customers and prepare them for loading.

• Perform manual tasks such as wrapping products and picking items from pallets.

• Keep the warehouse organized and clean.

• Interact with customers and provide great service.

• Read and follow instructions and procedure manuals.

• Understand all products thoroughly.

Essential Skills:

• 1-2+ years of warehouse experience.

• Forklift operation experience (certification preferred).

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong work ethic, self-discipline, and ambition.

• Team player.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in construction or building materials is a plus.

• Knowledge of commercial doors, frames, or hardware is preferred.

• Positive attitude and reliable attendance.

Work Environment:

• Construction site materials warehouse with exposure to inside and outside elements.

• Team of 10 members and 1 supervisor, with over 50 people on site.

• Operating hours: Monday-Friday, 5am-5pm (8:00AM start time during training).

• Dress code: steel-toed boots, jeans (no shorts), plain T-shirt.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
