Qualcomm is looking for seeking an associate level export compliance specialist. The candidate will support the export licensing and supply chain compliance team to execute on administration activities. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Export & Sanctions Compliance. The candidate will be a recent university graduate that is meticulous, detailed orientated and highly organized. It is preferred that the candidate has relevant skills from working in a high technology company as an intern or work experience that includes online recordkeeping and data management or paralegal work experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.

OR

Associate's degree in Business Administration/Management, International Business, Law, Electronic/Telecom Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Export or Sanctions Compliance, International Affairs, or related work experience.

OR

High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of Export or Sanctions Compliance, International Affairs, or related work experience.

The candidate will support key export compliance program elements consistent with export and reexport regulations of the US and other countries where Qualcomm operates. Candidate will be a member of a team that supports several business units such as Engineering, Engineering Program Managers, Fabless Sourcing, IT, Legal, and Procurement. The candidate will also collaboratively work with all Export & Sanctions Compliance teams and internal functional groups to execute on established compliance processes and export compliance systems, such as Trade Export System (TES), internal classification tools, Engineering, and IT systems.

The successful candidate for this position will be a proactive and highly productive individual with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and operate at the program and project level. The candidate for this position must have strong ability to collaborate with multiple team members.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure export shipments are consistent with export licenses and applicable conditions.

  • Perform export license tracking and decrementing.

  • Track, follow-up, and report on export license status details to management.

  • Perform sourcing compliance reviews

  • Manage and log communications between multiple internal and external parties.

  • Maintain files in database such as SharePoint and Salesforce.

  • Ensure internal reviews of processes, corrective actions, and training is conducted as required.

  • Develop processes, guidelines, and training to support export licensing.

  • Cross functional support with global Qualcomm teams.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Recent university graduate with past work experience or internship, experience in high-tech or semiconductor industry is preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, International Business, Business Administration, Engineering, Legal, Contracts, Management, Finance, Language Art, and/or Information Technology or equivalent.

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to manage data from multiple sources.

  • Strong computer skills including ability to research online and prepare reports in excel, perform spreadsheet calculations, and quickly learn new software tools.

  • Ability to prepare or revise procedures, work instructions, forms, and business flowcharts.

  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experiences on Microsoft Team, SharePoint, Salesforce, Database design, trade export systems.

  • Knowledge of the US Export Administration Regulations and Foreign Trade Statistics Regulations.

  • Ability to work at both detailed and strategic levels, work under pressure and with frequent interruptions, while displaying sound judgment.

  • Formulate and review of business documents.

  • Bilingual, Chinese skills a plus.

Pay range:

$23.16 - $34.74

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
