Boiler Operator

Immediately hiring for a Boiler Technician for a reputable company in San Diego, CA. Work will be performed at Camp Pendleton, CA. This is a long-term career opportunity.

Job Description

• Maintenance, operation, and repair of centralized boiler and chiller equipment and related auxiliary systems.

• Ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in a large complex Central Plant, supporting specialized facilities such as hospitals, with over 500 boiler horsepower, high pressure steam heating capacity, and 400 tons centrifugal chiller produced cooling capacity.

• Monitor, operate, and maintain high pressure steam boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, deaerators, surge tanks, feed water systems, and steam and chilled water distribution.

• Knowledge of chemical treatment systems and central plant DDC control system operation is crucial.

• Candidates must possess or obtain within the second year of employment a current Stationary Engineer’s license from a city, state, or nationally recognized entity, such as National Institute for the Uniform Licensing of Power Engineers (NIULPE) First Class Engineer or equivalent.
