Job Description

As an Accounts Payable Specialist I, you will ensure the accurate and timely data entry of all AP invoices and Vendor information in a fast-paced, continually growing environment. You will be responsible for ensuring all vendors and subcontractors are paid promptly within terms. The Accounts Payable Specialist will interact regularly with management and across departments to meet the company’s financial and operational goals.

Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Payment Management: Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.

Vendor Relations: Maintain positive relationships with vendors, addressing inquiries and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

Compliance: Ensure all accounts payable activities comply with SOX regulations and internal controls.

Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions.

Reporting: Assist in the preparation of accounts payable reports and analyses for management review.

Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is readily available and accurate.

Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounts payable function.
