Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):
$41.432 - $53.460 - $65.489
The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position.  The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.
This position will be onsite is San Diego, CA.
What You Will Do
To enhance hospital revenue cycle operations by assisting the Revenue Cycle Automation and Analytics team and ICD Revenue Cycle leadership in establishing key performance indicator goals, and analysis of revenue cycle performance. To work with Revenue Cycle Automation and Analytics Sr. Analyst to develop interactive dashboards for our Revenue Cycle clients throughout the organization, leveraging Sharp's latest tools and technology. Maintain awareness of revenue cycle initiatives and assist in developing monitoring and alerting methodology and tools to support optimum performance.
Required Qualifications
1 Year experience in revenue cycle, finance or accounting.
1 Year in the healthcare industry.
Previous revenue cycle analysis, and revenue cycle/financial applications experience.
Report writing/development experience required with proven ability to write in required query languages (FDL, SQL, etc).
Experience and proficiency in preparing and conducting presentations and training programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience creating dashboard user interfaces.
Other Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related business field; or equivalent revenue cycle experience in a hospital system/healthcare environment. - Required
Essential Functions
Analyzes, evaluates, and reportsSeeks out required data for problem analysis and resolution. Uses sound knowledge of revenue cycle operations and strategic initiatives, translates business requirements into reporting tools and dashboards.Enables the use of new technologies to assist in identifying root cause and emerging trends and communicates the potential impact of proposed solutions.Assists with implementation of an effective suite of revenue cycle reporting tools to identify revenue cycle opportunities, measure the effect of change, and support improved decision making.Collaborates with business subject matter experts and data engineers to analyze large amounts of data, find patterns, and create scalable models that track relevant KPIs and industry-standard metrics.Assesses KPI metrics pre and post-integration of new applications to ensure data accuracy and availability (includes but is not limited to Epic).
LeadershipMentors other staff members and teams regarding tools and systems supported and revenue cycle operations.Demonstrates content expertise regarding applications and revenue operations, receiving satisfactory team feedback.Assists in managing team and department expectations and priorities through effective communication and interaction. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of revenue cycle operations, accounting principles, reimbursement methodologies, contracting techniques, current healthcare issues, healthcare terminology, statistical reporting, and healthcare financial systems with specific knowledge of information technology as it relates to revenue cycle and relational database systems.
Ability to analyze data and prepare concise revenue cycle reports.
Ability to understand, develop, and enhance spreadsheet and database applications for specific revenue cycle modeling, with proficiency in Excel, Access and Merlin.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers including management, staff, and physicians.
