Description

Our client, an innovative company in the tech industry, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join their finance team. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties, including data entry, reconciliations, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Perform data entry and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.

  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts regularly.

  • Assist with preparing invoices, processing payments, and monitoring customer accounts.

  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing and posting journal entries.

  • Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding payments and invoices.

  • Prepare and distribute financial reports as requested by management.

  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger by ensuring proper coding and documentation of transactions.

  • Collaborate with team members to support audit preparation and ensure compliance with regulations.

  • Perform additional administrative tasks and ad hoc projects as needed.

    Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role, preferably in the tech industry.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-service-oriented approach.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.

  • Team player with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
