Your role as 50/50 Raffle Sales Ambassador Lead: You will lead and direct a team of Raffle Sales Ambassadors, sharing your time between supervising the 50/50 Raffle during Padres home games and serving as a Sales Ambassador. This multi-faceted role allows you to both manage your team and gain hands-on experience in the field. Your passion for excellence will be key to motivating ambassadors to maximize fundraising for the Padres Foundation, which supports critical initiatives in children's health, education, fitness, and youth baseball/softball through 50/50 Raffle ticket sales. All the responsibilities we will trust you with: * Exemplifying our Petco Park Promise: CARE, CONNECT, EXCEED by proactively welcoming all guests to the ballpark and consistently striving to exceed all guests’ expectations * Creating an inspiring team environment with an open-door culture and continuous communication, motivation, and coaching of strategic techniques to ensure individual and collective sales goals are met * Supervising and coordinating daily operations of the 50/50 Raffle Program with other 50/50 Raffle Sales Ambassador Leads, including, but not limited to, scheduling, strategic sales ambassador location assignments, and end-of-game duties * Collaborating with other 50/50 Raffle Sales Ambassador Leads effectively and efficiently * Assisting in the development of trainings and skill checks and delivering them throughout the season * Providing analytical, quantitative raffle ticket sales updates * Selling raffle tickets with your team to ensure sales goal is met * Managing the maintenance, cleanliness and organization of the 50/50 raffle room and equipment * Training and offering suggestions for sales ambassadors who may not be meeting their goals Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most: * Being consistent, collaborative, punctual, and having reliable attendance * Having experience in a leadership/supervisory role within a sales environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience * Being personable, enthusiastic, positive, and professional, while keeping that same composure in a fast-paced large crowd environment * Possessing a high degree of discretion, integrity, and accountability * Having excellent collaboration, communication, organizational, motivational and leaderships skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with coworkers and diverse guests * Having the ability to multi-task and work independently * Being proficient in Microsoft Office programs and use of office equipment * Having the ability to quickly learn and effectively operate technology-driven handheld, portable devices * Being bi-lingual in English/Spanish is a plus but not necessary You will be required to meet the following: * Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of employment * Minimum physical requirements: able to travel to and gain access to various areas of the ballpark for prolonged periods of time, up to the complete duration of shifts, during games and events, and in all inclement weather, including rain and/or direct sunlight; able to lift and transport up to 25 pounds * Must be available to work flexible, irregular hours during all designated raffle Padres’ home games, which include a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed * As a condition of employment, you must successfully complete all post-offer, pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check. Salary and Additional Compensation: Per the California pay transparency law, the pay rate for this position is $21.42 per hour. Part- time non-union employees are subject to the San Diego Living Wage Ordinance and rates will increase accordingly.
