Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 3 years of experience in product management, consulting, co-founder, or a related technical role.

  • 1 year of experience building and shipping technical products.

  • Experience querying data to make recommendations and decisions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a technology or business related field.

  • 2 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).

  • 2 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.

  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders.

  • 1 year of experience in software development or engineering.

  • Experience with online safety, policy or writing SQL.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

YouTube’s success and growth are fueled by the content on the platform. This not only means having content users want to watch but also to prevent undesirable content from reaching users.

As a Product Manager in Trust and Safety, our team is tasked with building out the infrastructure, tools, and data warehouse used to keep YouTube safe. You will work closely with various groups at Google to help make a safer web for everyone. In this role, you may be exposed to graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive videos.

We are working on building exceptional community guidelines for YouTube's Community. This role participates in shaping that future to help our users understand and feel supported when navigating policy related matters.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Lead cross-functional, cross-organization programs that define YouTube’s Community Guidelines experience.

  • Partner with Trust and Safety partners to drive reliability improvements, new features, and collaboration across a diverse set of stakeholders.

  • Drive Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) planning, and drive overall execution to ensure maximum impact for the team’s work. Contribute to a productive and inclusive team culture.

  • Understand markets, competition, and user requirements in depth. Launch new products and features, test their performance, and iterate quickly.

  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Marketing, Legal, UX, and other teams on technologies. Develop solutions to problems by collaborating as needed across regions, product areas, and functions.
