The Sr Manager, Pharmaceutical Forecasting will be responsible for pharamceutical forecasting and performance management for 1-2 branded pharmaceutical Business Units within the forecasting team. This person will be accountable for partnering with the Director of Forecasting to evolve the forecasting team to a collaborative and insight driven function within Commercial Operations. The person needs to be able to adapt the forecasting support to meet the different needs of a large and diverse product portfolio of both inline and pipeline brands. This person must be comfortable with operating in a fast-paced changing “start-up” type environment. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to lead strategically, build alignment, work independently and collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization. This candidate will also have demonstrated initiative, creativity, and ability to work in complex, rapidly changing & ambiguous environment. Trend based forecasting models, TRx forecasting, Forecast Pro software, and product forecasting experience necessary.
This role is a hybrid role and requires three days in office in Bridgewater, NJ HQ
Evaluate the current forecasting processes and methodologies and work to evolve the sophistication and capability of the function to serve the needs of a dynamic and diverse portfolio
Support the quarterly, long term, and pipeline forecasting process through best in class forecasting models and analytics
Build and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders across Marketing, Market Research, Market Access, Finance, and Data Management built on trust, transparency and communication
Ensure integration and synthesis of insights and information across the broader Commercial Operations team, as well as Sales and Marketing.
Ensure that forecasting and insights include:
Recommendations and guidance for business and brand decisions that account for customer needs as well as the need to establish and maintain viable, profitable brand/businesses
Full understanding of performance as well as proactive, forward-looking perspectives on business trends, uncertainties, issues, opportunities and implications for commercial strategies and actions
Minimum Qualifications :
Strong experience with statistical modeling and analyzing IQIVA national and subnational data
Thorough understanding of pharmaceutical forecasting and performance management
Strong experience with technical excel based forecasting preferred
7-10 years of industry experience, including experience in Finance and/or Forecasting
Experience in statistical modeling and forecasting tools
Bachelor’s degree; Advanced degree in business-related discipline preferred
Demonstrated ability to analyze primary market research and secondary data sources and to integrate insights into the forecasting process.
Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated ability to influence others; Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Refined communication/presentation skills, an ability to work well up and down the command chain internally and externally
