Job Title: Medi-Cal Collector

Location: Newport Beach, CA

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medi-Cal Collector to join our healthcare team. The Medi-Cal Collector will be responsible for managing and collecting payments from Medi-Cal, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Claims Management: Submit and follow up on Medi-Cal claims to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.

• Payment Posting: Accurately post payments and adjustments to patient accounts.

• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Compliance: Ensure all collection activities comply with Medi-Cal regulations and guidelines.

• Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and internal departments to resolve billing issues.

• Reporting: Prepare and maintain reports on collection activities and outcomes.

• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients and other stakeholders.

  Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing and collections, specifically with Medi-Cal.

• Skills:Strong knowledge of Medi-Cal billing and collection procedures.

• Proficiency in medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
