About The Role:

The Geotechnical Engineer applies engineering principles and concepts to plan and perform project management and engineering duties for design, construction administration, assessments, and investigations.

Responsibilities:

  • Test and evaluate subsurface conditions as they relate to planned construction in accordance with requirements.

  • Produce project specifications, reports, and estimates including detailed engineering calculations.

  • Collect and analyze data, perform routine calculations, and participate in feasibility studies.

  • Develop quality deliverables, documentation, and technical reports within schedule and budgetary requirements.

  • Collaborate with clients, subconsultant partners, technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines.

  • Build relationships with current and prospective clients to enable business development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 2-4 years of industry experience (or similar combination).

  • Valid driver’s license, with acceptable driving record and relevant industry certifications.

  • Readiness and ability to obtain PE licensure during employment.

  • Comfort with standard office and collaboration software (i.e. Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint).

  • Strong organizational, partnership building, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

  • Exceptional mathematical abilities, as well as written and verbal communication skills.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.

  • General understanding and knowledge of the GEOT and construction industry and regulatory climate.

  • Ability to travel, as needed.
