Our new innovative IT services organization is HPE Pointnext. We have the expertise to advise, integrate, and accelerate our customers’ outcomes from their digital transformation.

This position requires aTS/SCI with Full Scope Poly clearance.US citizenship is required. This position will also require a US Government background check and fingerprinting for site access badges.

This is an on-site role with no remote/teleworker option.

In a typical day as a Technical Consultant, you will

  • Advise on HPE system BIOS/firmware upgrades etc

  • Assist customer with script maintenance and creation as needed

  • Serve as HPE's point of contact for small issues, conduit to ASM team and greater HPE ecosphere

  • Assist in hardware diagnostic support for complex issues on HPE systems at customer site.

  • Provide firmware installation / management for HPE systems.

  • Provide health checks on HPE equipment as required when things “just aren’t right”…

  • Liaison between customer and Hewlett Packard Enterprise sales/management.

  • Be the technical face to the customer

  • Provide on-site escalation path for issues

  • Work with HPE Customer Support Center to drive open cases to closure

Following skills and experience required

  • TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly security clearance required

  • 1-3+ years Linux System Administration experience

  • 1-3+ years large cluster troubleshooting and automation skills

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study or equivalent

  • General hardware support experience

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
