Bone Bank Allografts in San Antonio, Texas, a subsidiary of Globus Medical Inc., specializes in processing and distributing high-quality bone allografts for various medical procedures, including orthopedic, dental, and reconstructive surgeries. Position Summary:

Responsible for the overall materials organization, supplies and inventory controls needed to maintain efficient support to the production department. Weekly workload includes, but is not limited to, purchasing, receiving, and materials movement between facilities.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist with maintaining open/closed Purchase Orders

  • Assist with maintaining and processing invoices and receiving documents

  • Assist in obtaining price quotes from vendors; for supplies and materials used in Manufacturing and R&D

  • Verify invoices for acceptance of supplies and materials to authorize payment

  • Ensure all deliveries are received properly and that all paperwork and counts are accurate

  • Locate requested materials at the best value possible

  • Assist in and periodically lead the operations of the Irradiation process

  • Participates in physical inventory activities as necessary

  • Reviews all incoming donor tissue and paperwork to ensure accuracy and relocate them into the appropriate storage locations

  • Assist in the creation and upkeep of engineering drawing schematics (EN’s) for all materials and supplies used

  • Maintain daily stock of supplies in clean rooms and other areas as assigned

  • Monitor storage temperatures and logs for supplies/tissue requiring temperature-controlled storage

  • Adhere to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensure Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

  • Represent the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • 1-year experience working in a manufacturing production, and/or material supply receiving, tracking and inventory environment

  • Proficient in MS office Excel and Access

  • Must understand manufacturing processes and materials flow

  • Experience with MRP and/or supply chain systems in a regulated environment is desired

  • Must be able to lift 65 pounds

  • Must possess effective communication (in English) and organizational skills

  • Experience with pricing and contract negotiations is desired

Physical Demands:

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 65 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
