Boeing Global Services (BGS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Responsible Non-Destructive Test Level III Tech to join our NDT team in San Antonio TX.

This position requires passing the Boeing Level 3 testing examinations in 90 days with prior consent of an approved Boeing certified Level 3.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Advises on advanced technology in non-destructive instrumentation and inspection principles, processes and techniques.

  • Guides implementation of advanced inspection or test techniques.

  • Develops innovative test processes and equipment.

  • Consults suppliers and customers to resolve technical issues involving tests, processes and equipment.

  • Develops principles and methods for analyzing test, inspection or statistical data.

  • Consults on corrective action to resolve process or product anomalies.

  • Participates on enterprise and industry teams to influence the standardization and regulation of training and certification requirements.

  • Has the responsibility and authority to ensure that the requirements of Boeing specifications are met and to qualify individuals.

  • Maintain necessary certifications, licenses and permits as required for assigned work

  • Have the skills and knowledge to interpret codes, standards, and other contractual specifications that control the method used on site

  • Assume technical responsibility for the NDT facility and staff

  • Provide and/or direct the training and examination of personnel in the method in which they are certified

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.

  • American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) NAS410 COMPLIANT Level III certifications in Ultrasonic and/or Eddy Current, along with one more Level III certifications in either of the following specialties: Penetrant, Magnetic Particle or Radiography

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean and Employee Involvement

  • Experience with MAUS V, AUUS MOBILE, OMNI SCAN units

  • Experience in a role that requires strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and schedule time and tasks effectively

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+7 years' related work experience, 11 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Salary Summary Range: $107,300- $135,200
