UnitedHealth Group Senior Marketing/Prod DB Analyst - Remote in San Antonio, TX in San Antonio, Texas

Positions in this function are involved in the research, design, development and presentation of marketing and promotional materials/programs and new products intended to support the sale of products and/or services. Positions in this function are technical roles that develop and support marketing/product systems and information. Employees in information management roles develop and enhance technology tools that support Marketing/Product team operations and provide reporting capabilities to measure or track performance levels. May develop system enhancements to accommodate new products, alliances and acquisition products.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements

  • Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems

  • Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses

  • Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks

  • Translates concepts into practice

  • Provides explanations and information to others on difficult issues

  • Coaches, provides feedback, and guides others

  • Acts as a resource for others with less experience

Data Enablement

  • Partners across Optum CDOs to ensure data alignment

  • Works with key business partners to ensure data is usable for marketing purposes

Data Strategy

  • Understands data sources and where they flow, helping marketers identify opportunities for data usage

  • Aligns data to business requirements

  • Partners with business on data strategy

  • Roadmap ownership aligning to scope of TITAN (South Region centralized engagement platform)

  • Understands the data strategy across all of the various sources

Data Governance

  • Data Privacy and Security – ensure compliance with HIPAA, etc

  • Data Quality Management – establishes standards for data accuracy, completeness, consistency

  • Data Access Controls – defines who has access to data, ensuring role-based accesss

  • Data Lifecycle Management – policies for data retention, archival, disposal

Reporting

  • Works across Growth & Marketing team to identify reporting requirements and builds reports

  • Understands Optum reporting needs from South Region and partners closely with them on data collection and distribution

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

  • Proven ability to document and communicate results of data analysis to appropriate stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to perform statistical modeling

  • Proven ability to develop and enhance technology tools that support Marketing/Product team operations

  • Proven ability to drive development and implementation of new technology, tools and processes

  • Demonstrated understanding of the healthcare industry and terminology
