Robert Half Sales Support Specialist in San Antonio, Texas

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sales Support Specialist in San Antonio, Texas. This role is vital to our operation as it involves managing retail customers and coordinating with various internal teams to ensure excellent customer service. The Sales Support Specialist will play a crucial role in order management and will be the primary contact for customer-related issues.

Responsibilities:

• Enter and track customer orders in the order management system

• Ensure all order details such as quantity, pricing, discount, ship date, and delivery date are accurate

• Offer support to internal Sales Managers and Buyers

• Monitor service levels to customers and address service exceptions

• Update databases for the Sales team using Great Plains and Excel

• Communicate with the replenishment, accounts receivable and logistic team about product volumes, ETA and promotions

• Manage quality rejections in quality portal and ensure all quantities align

• Prepare orders for billing to the accounting department and work closely with the Accounts Receivable team on any billing matters

• Collaborate with shipping to optimize schedules and performance

• Work with the accounts receivable department to resolve pricing condition and invoicing issues

• Ensure orders are processed in a timely manner Requirements • At least 3 years of experience in a Sales Support role or similar position

• Proficiency in using ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with Configure Price Quote (CPQ) and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Familiarity with auditing and billing functions

• Strong communication and sales support skills

• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC), MS Great Plains Accounting, MS Great Plains Dynamics, and MS Great Plains eEnterprise

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced Excel formulas and Pivot Table

• Experience with order entry, backorders, and order fulfillment processes

• Understanding of perishables and consumer goods industries

• Excellent customer service skills, with a track record of resolving customer service issues and providing superior customer service

• Experience with rebills

• Ability to work independently and in a team

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new processes and systems.
