Job Title: Receiving Clerk

Job Description

We are looking for a Receiving Clerk! This is a great opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment focused on being the premier designer and manufacturer of precision-engineered architectural lighting fixtures. The work schedule is Monday-Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Responsibilities include offloading incoming freight using pallet jack, hand truck, or forklift, performing visual inspections of incoming packages to ensure no damage occurred during transit, verifying receipt of items against packing slips and purchase orders, systematically receiving inventory using ERP systems, accurately adhering inventory labels to appropriate packages, physically placing received inventory in designated warehouse and/or production locations, consolidating current shelved inventory to create additional rack space if applicable, delivering, receiving, and processing job orders to back shops, collaborating with various departments such as purchasing, finance, and quality, tracking, expediting, and updating the receiving hot list, maintaining and scanning all incoming packing slips, shippers, invoices, BOLs, or other incoming documents to the appropriate shared folder, assisting in order picking when necessary, and ensuring the receiving station, dock(s), and staging areas are clean, safe, and in orderly condition.

Hard Skills

• Two or more years in a warehouse environment in shipping, receiving, or other major warehouse functions

• Ability to count parts and record data accurately and on a timely basis

• Ability to quickly learn Infor ERP and BarTender RFID software

• Experience using a forklift or pallet jack

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in San Antonio, Texas.

Work Environment

The work environment is climate-controlled in both winter and summer, and smoke-free. It is an industrial environment with approximately 10 workstations, working in a line with 3-4 others, and a medium-sized warehouse. It is a completely enclosed environment except for two open shipping receiving doors on the far side of the warehouse floor. The role requires standing 100% of the time. The dress code includes a plain black t-shirt (provided after the first few weeks), jeans (blue, khaki, or black), and tennis shoes.
