Outpatient Veterinary Technician/Assistant

MissionVet is a multi-disciplinary veterinary specialty and emergency hospital, and we are currently seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant to help us continue to build our specialty practice and work in Emergency and Critical Care. As an essential part of our hospital, our technicians play a vital role, using their skills and expertise to provide exceptional care for patients and compassionate support for clients. Compensation:

• $17 - $20 depending on experience

• $3 hourly overnight differential

  Schedule:

• Full Time

• 3x12  hour shifts

• 8pm-8am

• Wednesday-Sunday

  Key Responsibilities:

  As an Outpatient Veterinary Technician/Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing life-saving care to pets. Your duties include:

• Offering proficient technical nursing to all hospitalized patients and calculating fluid rates

• Administering medications and treatments under the direction of experienced veterinarians.

• Providing compassionate support to anxious and concerned pet owners while keeping them informed about their pets' condition.

• Ensuring accurate and detailed medical record-keeping.

• Collaborating with veterinarians and team members to deliver exceptional patient care.

  Who We’re Looking For:

• Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT) or Experienced Veterinary Assistants with at least 3 years of experience.

• Prior experience in Emergency and Critical Care is required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus

• The ability to thrive under pressure and make informed decisions in fast-paced situations.

• A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to patient well-being.
