Job Summary and Qualifications

Seeking a Manager of Behavioral Health Access Response Center who in conjunction with the Director of the Behavioral Health Access Response Center, coordinates the pre-admission assessment process and provides clinical assessments for identified patients. Also, assists with community education around clinical issues and participates with community events such as meetings related to access. What you will do in this role:

• May perform patient assessments as needed.

• Assures patient assessments are completed in a timely manner by the department.

• Provides direct clinical oversight of the patient access process.

• Works collaboratively with hospital departments to provide services needed.

• Models and trains other behavioral health team members on managing and tracking inquiry calls.

• Tracks and reports on all key indicators related to calls, assessment, admissions.

• Responsible for reporting department performance and for identifying trends/patterns that require intervention.

• Ensures patient rights and confidentiality are maintained.

• Provides input, suggestions and support appropriately.

• Participates as an active member of the multidisciplinary team.

• Completes additional duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field and holds a professional licensure as an independent mental health professional; or minimum of Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelors in Nursing preferred, with experience as outlined below.

• 1-3 years’ experience in a behavioral healthcare setting performing clinical assessments or in a clinical treatment setting (3 years minimum required for RN’s). Minimum 3 years’ experience managing and developing staff required. Preferred management experience in a clinical behavioral health setting.

Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required:

• Must hold and maintain current licensure as a mental health professional, such as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or RN license (RN requires at least 3 years in an applicable mental health environment.)

• Licensed to perform clinical assessments to determine level of care needs and to diagnose according to the current version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual is required.
