Position: SAS has an opening for a Stitcher
Job Responsibilities
Scans tickets on terminal.
Stitches several diverse styles throughout the day.
Place material on table, counts pieces, checks sizes then follows the standard stitching instructions by supervisor or backup.
Needs to examine product to verify acceptable quality and standards.
Able to work in a fast paced environment to meet personal production goals.
Willing to learn other jobs when needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Punctual and organized.
Good eye and hand coordination.
Highly motivated.
Mature, responsible, and self-motivated with a strong work-ethic and follow through.
A self-starter who enjoys taking on new challenges to expand his/her role.
Willing to get involved in anything and everything with an “It Can Be Done” attitude.
Able to multi-task handling several projects, while working independently or with a team.
Ability to read production tickets.
Stitching knowledge and experience a plus
Physical Requirements:
Physical labor is often necessary for 8 hours or more per day with breaks approximately every two hours including stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, vibration, noise and engaging in repetitive motions.
Excellent vision to inspect material and products for defects.
Must be able to sit 8-10 hours a day.
Must be able to lift between 5 and 20 lbs.
Progressive hand movement and use.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
0-1 year of manufacturing experience. Experience in shoemaking/manufacturing or general manufacturing & production facilities.
