Position Summary:

The Renewables Organization is responsible for the trading, scheduling, compliance and short-term optimization of Renewable Blendstocks and Feedstocks. The Renewable Analyst will work within the Renewable Products Trading team to support Trading, Scheduling, and Commercial Development opportunities by providing support through process improvement, market intelligence, and data analytics. Ideal candidate will be a highly collaborative individual that is highly organized, possess strong data and project management skills including advanced knowledge of Excel.

This position is part of a job family with multiple grade levels. The successful candidate will be placed at a level commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works with Traders and Schedulers to evaluate new market opportunities within the renewable and agriculture space.

  • Supports Trading Profit/Loss reporting and leads feedback discussions with Trading on performance metrics and understanding of physical and priced positions.

  • Assists the development of forward market view based on fundamental research and analytics that enable actionable trading activity.

  • Identifies, tracks, and reports Key Performance Indicators to monitor the commercial performance, evaluate strategy execution, and post audit procedures for continuous improvement.

  • Supports the Feedstock and Biofuel logistics needs while collaborating with key logistic stakeholders (trucking, marine, rail and terminals) and Value Chain Integration Team to optimize assets to lower cost of supply and build market trading opportunities.

  • Supports trading organization on the analysis for logistic lease agreements to identify market opportunities and execute on supply and structure opportunities.

  • Coordinates with various stakeholders to develop digital continuous improvement systems, tools, techniques, and procedures to solve both on-going and prospective business problems.

  • Develops and manages commercial focused trading tools, dashboards and reports.

  • Executes a variety of ad-hoc analytical work and presentations as required by leadership.

  • Acquires and maintains external and internal information and resources to develop market intelligence.

    Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; business degree preferred.

  • 3 or more years of experience required; Renewables, analysis, and/or commercial background preferred.

  • Functional knowledge of Right Angle, Tableau, and Microsoft Office.
