The National Contract Logistics Distribution Vendor Manager role at Kuehne+Nagel involves overseeing vendor relationships and ensuring efficient distribution operations. Key responsibilities include managing contracts, optimizing logistics processes, and ensuring compliance with company standards. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.

Your Role

Your primary objective will be to deliver against our distribution strategy by ensuring that vendor management is a priority + key factor in gaining + retaining customers. You will do this by working with a variety of internal + external stakeholders while focusing on the following key objectives.

Your Responsibilities

• To lead the procurement cycle from sourcing to delivery, ensuring that commercial + cost saving benefits are realized at the P+L level, sufficient capacity + on time delivery for all customers.

• To evaluate supplier core competencies + competitive positioning using industry cost models.

• To develop a negotiation strategy that delivers against business objectives + achieves sustainable relationships with suppliers.

• To review + approve a comprehensive list of suppliers for tender processes developed by analyzing the local market, understanding trends + competitive positioning in order to ensure the best possible supply base.

• To take lead in reducing costs, focusing on creating greater efficiencies, economies of scale or a greater quality of resources, + motivate vendors to sustain high levels of commitment.

• To drive business development by providing competitive solutions, matching vendor capabilities + capacity with customer solution requirements in order to close business.

• To ensure compliance with vendor selection + onboarding processes.

• To control direct + indirect transportation costs while improving service levels, quantifying cost savings + reporting to senior management.

Your Skills and Experiences

• At least 5 years of experience in distribution vendor management

• Strong network across distribution vendors in Thailand

• Able to communicate well in English is a plus
