The Statewide Online Education Program (SOEP) enables secondary students to earn high school graduation credit through the completion of publicly funded online courses. **Principal Duties SOEP Educational Specialist/Program Manager :
- Oversee day-to-day operations of SOEP
- Consult with Lead Administrator regarding staff assignments,project management,communications,personnel matters.
- Manage SOEP projects
- Provider Monitoring and Training (Oversight of Licensing Program Specialist)
- Provider Monitoring Visits (Code,Rule and Policy compliance)
Monitoring Visit agenda
Provider preparation for monitoring visits
Accountability template
- Audits
- Standard Operating Procedures
- Quality instruction and learning
- Provide technical assistance on Provider operational issues
- LEA Support
- Provides technical assistance on LEA operational issues
- Oversight of SOEP Academic Counselors
Student enrollment procedures
Mandated annual training for LEA personnel
Troubleshoot LEA Counselor issues
Liaison with USBE Counseling Specialist
Federal,Legislative and Board Policy development,implementation,and compliance
Continuous program improvement
Communication with internal and external stakeholders
Presentations
Assists other SOEP staff as needed
Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate for this position is someone who has:
- Master's degree or higher
- A Utah educator s license
- Experience developing and facilitating online lea rning opportunities
- Knowledge of principles and methods of curriculum and training design,teaching and instruction for individuals and groups
- Knowledge of and experience in design principles addressing the needs of unique learners
- Educational Leadership Experience
Preference Preference may be given to candidates which have:
- At least three years of experience working with developing and facilitating online learning opportunities
- Experience in educational coaching and mentoring
- An Educational Supervision/Administration license area of concentration
