Rebate Analyst

Job Description

The Rebate Analyst is responsible for interpreting small to intermediate pharmaceutical manufacturer contracts. This includes all aspects of the contract from formulary compliance, to system capabilities to reconciliation and allocation of payments to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze small to intermediate manufacturer contract terms to ensure compatibility with rebate system

  • Perform contract set up for each rebate period

  • Assist with the coordination, analysis and validation of quarterly rebate reports and distribution of quarterly invoices

  • Assess, implement and communicate critical information for maintenance of rebate system; including, contract amendments and other changes that impact the rebate process

  • Reconcile manufacturer payments as compared to invoice to prepare for allocation of payments to clients

  • Analyze and resolve contract disputes working with manufacturers to ensure timely payment of rebates and admin fees

  • Research and analyze client questions related to invoiced products and corresponding rates and qualification

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required

  • 2 years of work experience in finance or contracts

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft products including Excel and Word

  • Strong analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in database management

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to Sr Professional in the Pharmacy Trade Relations department

Potential pay for this position ranges from $66,000.00 - $106,000.00 based on experience and skills.
