OVERHEAD DOOR CORPORATION Quality Assurance Inspector in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

As a manufacturing inspector at Won-Door Corporation, you will play a crucial role making sure we produce and ship quality products in a timely manner. You will be responsible for supporting various Quality functions including production line inspections, incoming material inspection, dispositioning non-conforming material, and receiving incoming material.Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual in Spanish/English preferred but not required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 + years of experience in a quality role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read dial calipers and tape measure.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and people skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.

    Skills & Abilities

    1. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
    2. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    3. Attention to detail
    4. Read and comprehend engineering drawings
    5. Forklift experience preferred but will train the right candidate.
    6. Ability to bend, stoop or sit.
    7. Ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • Incoming inspection: Sample and /or test incoming material to verify compliance with material specifications.
  • Non-Conforming Material: Report non-conforming material to production personnel and create report using MRP system. Confer with Engineering to determine if non-compliant material can be used as-is or should be set aside for further review.
  • Receiving: Receive incoming material using a forklift to unload when necessary.
  • Document Filing: Sort paperwork in preparation for document scanning.
  • Cleaning: Help maintain a clean work area and sweep areas at the end of shift.
  • Misc: Other tasks as assigned
