DYNO NOBEL INC. Procurement Specialist (Temporary) in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

Job Brief Effectively negotiate and manage supply and service contracts for project-based initiative across North America. You will work with internal customers to fully understand their procurement needs and ensure that these are delivered.

What You'll Do As a Procurement Specialist, you will effectively negotiate and manage supply and service contracts for project-based initiative across North America. You will work with internal customers to fully understand their procurement needs and ensure that these are delivered through the larger Procurement network. Other duties include: * Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations * Review CAPEX spend on a National level to determine appropriate contracting models, deriving volume synergies where possible, while balancing and maintaining local service levels. * Work with team regarding project plans, deliverables, metrics and milestones * Develop strong, customer focused relationships with key stakeholders * Manage process to ensure timely delivery of all products and services to meet operational requirements * Continually improve cost position by looking at price, specifications and demand, while maintaining quality and safety standards * Strong commercial skills (contracting, tendering), negotiation, contract management, supplier development/performance improvement for service and material contracts * Work directly with Project team to ensure projects are delivered with cost and schedule certainty * Effectively manage relationships based on open communication and achievement of common objectives.

What We're Looking For: * Bachelor's degree preferred * Ability to travel to various North America sites for Project activities * 3+ years' experience in procurement/supply chain with contract negotiation and management * Effective communication and influencing skills with both external service providers and key internal stakeholders * Detailed knowledge and understanding of Capital and Service contracting * Strategic negotiation skills, with a focus on supplier engagement * Ability to support the creation of contractual scope of works and set KPI's for supplier performance management * Strong computer skills in Microsoft office and SAP * Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
