Job Brief The Payroll Team Lead is responsible for ensuring Payroll Administration Services are delivered to the business in support of employee lifecycle transactions whilst meeting legislative and internal policy requirements.

What You'll Do To be a successful candidate in this position you will be responsible for ensuring that Payroll Administration Services are delivered to the business in support of employee lifecycle transactions while meeting legislative and internal policy requirements and: Ensure compliance with applicable company safety and performance standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations Ensure payroll processing and reporting are completed accurately, timely and within audit requirements Respond and provide accurate information to employees and line-manager Ensure strict compliance with internal and external policies and legislation Ensuring all 3rd party payments, authorizations and reconciliations are executed timely and accurately Deliver on internal and external payroll reporting requirements Leading and mentoring team members Consult with Finance, Tax and IT to ensure payroll processes and configuration are designed to efficiently meet business requirements Securely filing all payroll related documentation. Assist with year-end process including reconciliations, payment summary generation and T4/W-2 processing Process expat/inpat payroll including year-end requirements Responsible for identifying, testing, and driving the payroll system and process change requirements Supporting members of the Human Resources Shared Services (HRSC) team as required. Maintain a thorough knowledge of relevant employee conditions and awards, and legislation to ensure policies, procedures and systems are compliant Highlight consistent application of policies and procedures pertaining to payroll across the organization to achieve IPL's strategic direction Reporting - ensure the availability and timely distribution of relevant and accurate payroll information to assist strategic and operational decision making Accurate and timely reporting to government and regulatory authorities. Responsible for completing payroll audits (both internal and external) as they occur What We're Looking For

Education: bachelor's degree or an equivalent

Experience: 4 years US payroll processing, and 2 years Canada payroll processing a plus

Demonstrated experience in end-to-end Payroll processing and compliance

Ability to participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices

Self-starting and motivated, able to work without supervision to defined timelines
