Dr. Hongchao Guos laboratory is looking for a lab specialist to work full-time in his lab in the Nora Eccles Harrison Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute (CVRTI) at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. The research interests of the Guo lab (https://cvrti.utah.edu/the-guo-laboratory/) focus on deciphering the genetic mechanisms underlying cardiovascular diseases. The Guo lab has an interdisciplinary research environment, including molecular and cellular biology, cardiac physiology, genetics, human stem cell biology and bioinformatics.We apply a multidisciplinary approach combining genome editing, DNA/RNA sequencing, imaging, biochemistry, induced pluripotent stem cells, and animal studies to gain broader insights into the genetic/molecular understanding of normal and pathological heart function.We seek a self-motivated lab specialist with strong organizational and communication skills to join our enthusiastic, collaborative, and creative team in an outstanding scientific environment.
