Zions Bank Capital Markets – Institutional Sales and Trading is a team of experienced traders and institutional sales personnel who assist institution with their investment needs through fixed income and money market securities. We are looking for additional sales personnel to help expand our base of customers and support further trading initiatives to help our team grow.

Zions Bank is accepting applications for an: Institutional Sales Associate to join our Capital Markets department.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible with assisting the development of the bank's fee income and profits generated by selling fixed income instruments and money market securities to existing and new institutional customers.

  • Responsible assisting with the creation/maintenance of the customer base of institutional accounts with whom the bank will/does buy and sell securities.

  • Learn about the variety of institutional accounts including financial depository institutions, public treasurers, corporations, pension funds, and mutual funds.

  • Learn about all other bank products and services that would increase bank fee income, i.e., clearing and safekeeping services, portfolio accounting and investment advisory services, trust services, equity brokerage, cash management, etc.

  • Learn about the information relating to the securities we underwrite, securitize or trade in the secondary market.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

  • Communication and sales skills – ability to present products and services and demonstrate value.

  • Limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories,

  • and concepts.

  • Basic knowledge of financial markets, economic news releases, investment instruments, money market securities and other investment products.

  • Excellent PC, mathematical, analytical, communication and customer service skills.

  • Self motivated

  • Requires a Bachelors and

  • 1 to 2 years of directly related experience – institutional sales preferable.

  • Securities Licensing preferable.

  • On-site 17th Floor Zions Bank Building

  • Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
