University of Utah Human Resources Generalist in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah

University of Utah Human Resources is committed to customer service, efficiency, and ensuring University leaders have the capacity to manage their divisions. The Human Resources Generalist will be a member of the HR team and, it is anticipated, will be physically located on campus in or near the assigned department or group of departments they serve a couple days per week. It is anticipated that the Human Resources Generalist will work closely with an Associate HR Director. The Human Resources Generalist may be assigned a number of functional areas on campus, acting as the first point of contact for those areas.As the primary point of HR contact within the department or group of departments they serve, the Human Resources Generalist will assist departments with the following areas, including but not limited to: recruitment, hiring, onboarding, benefits, payroll, compensation, employee relations and processing employment changes.The Human Resources Generalist will: perform various human resources duties in areas such as recruiting, employment, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, or other special projects; provide guidance on human resources operational issues, employment law, and develop new programs and initiatives to meet management needs; partner with management teams to facilitate the delivery of Human Resource services as appropriate; and serve as contact for employees and answer questions regarding Human Resource policies and procedures.
