Job Summary

The University of Utah Campus Store is currently seeking a talented and creative Part-Time Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visually appealing graphics for a variety of channels including print, digital, web, video and other areas as assigned. The Graphic Design intern will report to the Marketing Manager and will assist with the development and design of core Campus Store graphics, logos, collateral event materials and a variety of other creative tasks as assigned. The Graphic Design Intern will also be assigned various website updates. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team and contribute to the development of engaging visual assets.

Responsibilities

  • Design and produce graphics for various promotions including flyers, signage, email, social and web assets.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team and on design solutions for digital assists, including web banners, social media posts, etc.

  • Design print documents such as flyers, coupons, and other collateral

  • Work together/experiment to create new ideas for interactive design materials

  • Research as needed

  • Provide support on production tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a current University of Utah student.

Candidates will be expected to understand the following systems: Photography, Photoshop and HTML .

Experience/interest in video and photography directing/production.

Strong written communication and copywriting skills.

Preferences

Preference will be given to students with related technical coursework and/or professional experience.

Excellent attention to detail and creative eye or aesthetics in color and typography

Energetic self-starter who is able to work well in a small team and independently

Ability to meet multiple deadlines

Strong verbal communication skills and ability to create great working relationships

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
