In this key role, the Global Marketing Communications Senior Manager will lead in the development and implementation of best-in-class, strategic omni-channel communications plans across the Vascular Access platform; drive execution and success measurement of global communications initiatives; and manage a team of approximately 4 of MarCom associates to effectively execute regional communication plans.

Reporting to the WW Director of Marketing Communications and Digital, this associate is responsible for maintaining ongoing relationships with MDS Global and Regional Marketers, ensuring MarCom plans and deliverables are aligned with global and regional marketing objectives and strategies, including the development and standardization of global brand positioning, core messages, regionally-specific segmented value propositions, and strategically relevant marketing claims.

Develop annual strategic communications plans and present to key internal stakeholders, i.e. Global Marketing, MarCom Director, etc. for approval. This effort includes collaborating with global and regional marketers and regional MarCom associates to propose effective strategies that align with and support our marketing objectives and business goals.

Utilize digital expertise to influence and create the evolution of omni-channel marketing strategies to support key segments to support and drive customers through the buyer’s journey with impactful content and communications initiatives.

Work as part of the MDS team to ensure that all marketing communications activities are aligned with the key priorities, vision and marketing efforts.

In partnership with appropriate internal resources, identify KPIs and regularly report on the impact of global marketing efforts and provide recommendations for improvements. Master the company’s internal systems and digital ecosystem, to leverage with the execution of omni-channel regional campaigns.

Lead cross functional teams, e.g. creative agencies, marcom and marketing associates, etc. to execute strategic marcom plans and initiatives. These initiatives can include but are not limited to: global branding, positioning, customer-centric message development, and creative campaign strategies.

Develop creative briefs as necessary, and review creative concepts to ensure effective alignment with business goals, marketing objectives and BD brand identity. Facilitate constructive dialogue between marketing stakeholders and creative services driving greater on-target execution, reducing unnecessary

rework, and optimizing budget expenditures.

Lead the development and implementation of various global MarCom operations standards and procedures, i.e. copy approval, collateral dissemination and management. Participate in BD Quality audits. Ensure compliance to BD Quality and Regulatory requirements and adherence to MarCom standards and procedures.

Manage regional MarCom associates and oversee the development of their regional communications plan for assigned platforms and initiatives. Ensure regional plans align with MDS global business priorities and ASR marketing plans. Integrated, tactical plans will focus on product and cross-platform solutions messages.

Ensure, whenever appropriate, customer centricity is imbedded into all external communications. Drive standardization of brand messaging, positioning and core value offers within and across regional plans toachieve greater consistency of brand messaging and drive operational efficiencies. Require all regional marketing campaigns to incorporate success metrics and ensure timely impact reports are published and promoted internally.

Manage assigned communications budget by overseeing the processing and reporting of all expenses. Participate in the development of the annual MPS Global and Regional Marketing Plan development process. Attend Global Marketing platform meetings. Provide input on appropriate communication strategies and recommend viable tactics that deliver measurable results. Lead the development of global communication plans and oversee the development of regional plans to ensure alignment with global marketing objectives and

strategies.

Oversee the execution of all marketing communication activities by Regional MarCom associates related to tradeshow deliverables. Maintain ongoing relationship with regional MDS marketers and marketing communications associates. Stay informed about competitive environment and healthcare trends impacting our industry. Develop and maintain relationships with KOLs. Maintain ongoing relationship with advertising and external creative agencies. Stay current on new and cutting-edge communication technologies and channels.

  • 8+ years of experience developing and leading marketing communications to support product launch and product lifecycle management, media planning, market segmentation, vendor assessment and management

  • Proven Strategic Thinking capability, including near-term and long-term portfolio strategy development, alternative analysis and efficient resource management

  • Honed Tactical Skills ranging from customer needs identification/definition, development of creative briefs, digital content and journey strategy creation and demonstrated Analytical Strength in project costing and ROI modeling.

  • Strong Customer Focus including value proposition development, needs identification, training development, experience in the field with sales force and customers, and a bias towards responsiveness

  • Excellent oral and written Communications , Project Management and active listening skills, effective team player and team leader

  • Driven for Success and record of timely and effective execution in spite of multiple/conflicting priorities

  • Clear Action Orientation manifested by fast pace with minimal supervision, effective priority balancing, andgenerally competitiveness

  • Demonstrated Leadership, with 4+ years management experience , as shown through increasing responsibility for successful team leadership, ability to influence without authority, and being viewed as a valued advisor/ contributor

  • Bachelor’s degree required in advertising, communications, and marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience. An advanced degree in a related field is desirable.

  • 8+ years of experience developing and leading marketing communications to support product launch and product lifecycle management, media planning, market segmentation, vendor assessment and management

  • Experience working with agencies, managing print production, photo and video shoots, and design projects is mandatory.

  • Strong computer skills such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software programs are required.

  • Communications planning experience is also necessary.

  • Four years marketing communications experience is required, preferably in B2B healthcare.

  • Ability to travel 20% domestically, contingent upon business travel policies.
