A Food Service Supervisor II will prepare meals for clients and staff in a Juvenile Justice and Youth Services institutional setting. You will need to have a Food Handler's permit *(or obtain one while working for the State). Principal Duties
- Cooks,bakes prepares and serves food
- Cleans,sterilizes and or disinfects areas and/or equipment
- Supervises personnel including: hiring,determining workload and delegating assignments,training,monitoring and evaluating performance,and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions
- Plans menus,determines amounts to be prepared and how leftovers should be utilized
- Orders and receives equipment,merchandise,materials,and supplies
- Inspects and maintains food quality,handling,and safety standards
- Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws,regulations,and/or agency rules,standards and guidelines,etc.
- Provides assistance and/or on-the-job training
- Writes or drafts correspondence,reports,documents and/or other written materials
- Keeps records and prepares reports
