JJYS Food Service Worker II Hurricane,Utah

A Food Service Supervisor II will prepare meals for clients and staff in a Juvenile Justice and Youth Services institutional setting. You will need to have a Food Handler's permit *(or obtain one while working for the State). Principal Duties

  • Cooks,bakes prepares and serves food
  • Cleans,sterilizes and or disinfects areas and/or equipment
  • Supervises personnel including: hiring,determining workload and delegating assignments,training,monitoring and evaluating performance,and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions
  • Plans menus,determines amounts to be prepared and how leftovers should be utilized
  • Orders and receives equipment,merchandise,materials,and supplies
  • Inspects and maintains food quality,handling,and safety standards
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws,regulations,and/or agency rules,standards and guidelines,etc.
  • Provides assistance and/or on-the-job training
  • Writes or drafts correspondence,reports,documents and/or other written materials
  • Keeps records and prepares reports

The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a motivated individual who enjoys cooking and following recipes. We are looking for a candidate who is available to work rotating shifts (which include days,nights,weekends and holidays).
