ManpowerGroup Equipment Machine Operator in Warehouse in Salt Lake City, Utah

Equipment Operator: 18.00 an hour – 19.26(overnight) (12 hour shifts – A1 630AM to 630PM B2 630PM to 630AM) -

Position Summary:

An Equipment Operator I is responsible for the safe and efficient use of basic automated assembly machines. This role involves ensuring continuous machine operation by understanding and responding appropriately to machine faults, as well as occasionally aligning stations and fixtures. The operator performs simple, repetitive tasks associated with machine operation and runs machines that require minimal attentiveness. Additionally, the operator is responsible for ensuring that medical devices are assembled to the highest quality standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean work area and equipment.

  • Read and understand operating procedures.

  • Operate equipment safely according to company standards and procedures.

  • Start machines from a powered-off state.

  • Set up work orders in electronic batch records, data acquisition, and inventory management systems.

  • Operate machines, jigs, and fixtures to produce high-quality products at established production rates.

  • Read and interpret gauges and dials on equipment as needed.

  • Diagnose and resolve machine faults and restart machines.

  • Complete production records and work order documentation as required.

  • Inspect or test products to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Weigh, count, package, and label finished products.

  • Learn to operate simple machines quickly and efficiently.

  • Demonstrate flexibility by operating multiple simple machines, which typically involve press and torque fitments, have less than 10 stations, require low operator attention, and need minimal station and fixture alignments.

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:

  • Basic experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and computer use is preferred.

  • Ability to read and understand procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • MUST HAVE PRIOR WAREHOUSE CLEAN ROOM EXPERIENCE 6 months+

  • MUST HAVE MEDICAL DEVICE Warehouse Experience

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Use of solvents, glue, or solder may be required.

  • Must be able to perform visual inspections with or without magnification tools.

  • Regularly required to talk or hear.

  • Work is performed in a clean room environment.

  • May need to sit or stand for the entire duration of the shift.

  • Must be able to repeatedly move and lift objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
