Location Description Post Consumer Brands West Coast hub distribution center is in Salt Lake City, Utah. At this facility, there are just under 70 team members focused on safety and efficiently shipping products across to retailers across North America. When you join the Post team in Salt Lake City, you are joining a thriving community with a dozen National Parks and reserves, world-class universities, and plenty of year-round activities. The Salt Lake City team has a long history of supporting community organizations, including local schools, food banks, and various other non-profit organizations. Responsibilities The purpose of this position is to coordinate shipping of finished products to our customers and receiving finished products to be stored in the warehouse for future orders. This position will provide direction on load priorities and assist in inventory location. This position will provide proper load documentation. This position will assure the work is completed and on time. In addition, this position will lend support to the Team Lead in the absence of management and provide administrative assistance when needed. In this role, this position will assist in the safely and efficiently of operations. JOB ACTIVITIES/DUTIES Assure trailers are loaded/unloaded on-time; verify/reschedule appointments Coordinate with team lead on the work flow and provide direction to team members including special loading instructions when needed Coordinate all yard activities with yard driver including trailers to be dropped in or pulled from dock doors, trailer inventory, and other necessary items to do with the yard Assist team members with inventory/load discrepancies and adjust picks based on information provided Communicate and assist in resolving shipping issues with dispatch team, customer service, traffic, production, and scheduling Communicate and manage inbound/outbound carriers and CPU drivers; print bill of ladings and verify accuracy Handle less than truckload orders (LTL) Assist in pulling cases from inventory for sales sample picks, aged product sample, and noncompliance returns to production facilities Provide updated copies of loading schedules, trailers lists, and short product report to the distribution center scheduler Provide back up to scheduler, team leads, and shift supervisors during absences Provide administration assistance when needed and assist in office and warehouse supply inventory Maintain a clean and organized work area Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous training in warehouse/transportation or supply chain functions including shipping/receiving preferred Previous experience in food production environments preferred Previous experience with PC applications including WMS, YMS, Lotus Notes, Excel, Power Point, Cosmos, Microsoft Word, Visio, and other applications strongly preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills required Ability to multitask with different and sometimes conflicting events happening at the same time Ability to accurately relay information in a fast paced environment Ability to problem solve situations that may arise either alone or with a team, depending on situation, and find a resolution Post Holdings provides equal opportunity employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, status as a covered veteran, and any other category protected under applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws.
