Celtic Bank Construction Portfolio Analyst (Hybrid) in Salt Lake City, Utah

The Construction Portfolio Analyst is required to convey an image of professionalism, efficiency, and competence as a member of the Celtic Bank team. The Portfolio Analyst is expected to deliver exceptional service and maintain all related activities in an organized and consistent manner. As a Portfolio Analyst you will collaborate closely with team members across various departments as needed to ensure assigned deadlines are achieved. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with Celtic Bank General Policies as well as state and federal regulations.

With this job you will have the opportunity to work in a fast paced environment where you are able to interact with internal groups, clients and contractors across the nation on various types of projects. Be it analyzing a project budget, collaborating with other groups internally or processing draws and finding solutions to challenges that may arise through the construction process there is always something to continue your learning and progression.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage a portfolio of construction loans in various loan stages.

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of project sources and uses, construction budgets, architectural plan & site plan review and financial information during underwriting.

  • Present analysis to managers and Loan Committee for final decision.

  • Review all construction loan documentation in preparation for loan closings.

  • Order and review construction project progress inspections and reconciling construction budget.

  • Administer construction draws for the duration of the construction project.

  • Proactively monitor assigned construction portfolio project status.

  • Maintain strong working relationship with borrower and general contractor.

  • Ability to maintain a great attitude and professional disposition with both internal and external parties, especially while handling deadlines, delays, and setbacks.

  • Complies with and adheres to all regulatory compliance areas, policies and procedures and best practices.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of commercial lending practices and procedures is preferred.

  • Experience with construction disbursement software Built preferred.

  • Detail oriented and possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication (verbal and written) skills.

  • Ability to problem solve and work independently.

  • Must possess the ability to prioritize and support various activities simultaneously.

  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment, including by demonstrating excellent time management, organization, and planning skills.

  • Strong technical skills - including but not limited to Microsoft Office, internet, Salesforce.

  • Adaptability to meet changing department priorities while remaining attentive to daily demands.

  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new processes, and work in a collaborative environment.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.   • Work Model: The employee in this position will work either a fully Onsite, Hybrid or Remote work model. All employees, regardless of location, may be required to travel to the Salt Lake City office for mandatory company meetings, events, or related occasions.

  • Utah-based employees: Hybrid work schedule available after initial training period in our Salt Lake City, Utah office – department and job requirements will determine eligibility.

  • Out of State employees: Full remote work schedule available
