The Construction and Manufacturing Team supports all of Haskell's delivery groups across the company and the projects throughout the United States. The Construction and Manufacturing Team is responsible for providing the field management personnel, from the craft worker to the Project Superintendent. The Construction and Manufacturing Team also provides the team member with logistical support; including but not limited to establishing per diem rates, company trucks for superintendents, and the coordination of arrival for team members as needed on the project. The Construction and Manufacturing Team provides continual training for our team members to support their development from entry-level craft workers, via in-house/online courses, to local jurisdiction apprenticeship programs. Haskell assists with working your way up through the ranks, you'll find new ways to use both your mind and your hands to get the job done.

Joining our Construction and Manufacturing Team will enable you to build the buildings on which people depend; collaborating with your team to overcome obstacles and fix problems on the job site using your skills. An internship opportunity focused on construction management. In this internship, you will assist our project management team with assigned tasks. You participate in training programs and receive training in company management tools, standards, policies, and procedures. Great role for construction management or engineering students interested in construction with a leading design-build firm.

Job Responsibilities:

Identifies and qualifies subcontractors and vendors for assigned scopes of work. Prepares and transmits bid packages and invitations to bid. Receives and analyzes received bids. In conjunction with the project manager, may negotiate and award subcontracts and purchase orders. Prepares and maintains purchase control log

  • Participates in design review meetings and reviews and monitors design with particular attention to scope, cost changes, and constructability. May be responsible for applying for, tracking, and expediting project permits

  • Prepares detailed estimates and cost codes for initial cost control reporting and updates labor cost reports and summary cost reports. Works with accounting to maintain subcontractor and vendor requirements for payment processing

  • Works with the project team to prepare and update progress schedules including short-term interval schedules. Assists in planning construction operations and sequences

  • As directed by the project manager, may interact with the client including correspondence, periodic reports, change order requests, submittal of pay requisitions, and response to client inquiries and directives
