Job Summary

Develops and implements customer service strategies while coordinating donation processing for Foundations and Supporting Organizations to ensure alignment with organizational goals. This position will serve as a liaison between the University and external entities, fostering cooperative relationships and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Ensures continuity and quality customer service between University departments and community.

Responsibilities

  1. Develops and implements customer service and financial objectives for foundations, support organizations, and major donors consistent with the University’s goals and objectives.

  2. Ability to understand and interpret department policies and regulatory requirements.

  3. Develops and produces reports related to historical giving summaries

  4. Works with Associate Director of Gift Accounting to provide financial reporting

  5. Coordinates with Donor Relations on VIP donor reports as needed

  6. Manages the Gift Services Financial Analyst, ensuring accurate pledge tracking and monthly reporting

  7. Coordinates with Director, Gift Processing to ensure that Supporting Organization and major donor gift processing is completed timely and accurately

  8. Implements and administers new and existing department programs and services to internal and external customers.

  9. Evaluates program effectiveness. May carry out and implement logistic plans and procedures to ensure that internal university and external entities’ needs are met.

  10. Ensures customer satisfaction by analyzing customer complaints, concerns and suggestions. Provides appropriate follow-through to ensure quality customer service.

  11. Facilitates cooperative and collaborative relationships with supporting organizations.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Public Administration, a related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required; plus six years of progressively more responsible management experience; and demonstrated leadership, human relations and effective communication skills also required. Master’s degree in Business Administration or related area preferred.

This position is not responsible for providing patient care.

Department Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with fundraising concepts and terminology

  • Familiar with IRS regulations as they relate to charitable donations

  • Experience working with CRMs

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office, particularly, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
