The Department is looking for a skilled educator who will assist in the coordination of our outdoor experiential education classes (U-EXPLORE) and represent the Department as academic faculty liaison for a new outdoor recreation living and learning community on campus.The Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism will serve as the academic partner to the new living and learning community. As academic partner, the unit provides a 50% faculty appointment to the oversight of learning opportunities for students in the community. The other 50% of this position will be assisting with the coordination of UExplore outdoor experiential learning courses offered through the Department. In order to fulfill the two-fold responsibilities of this position, the successful candidate will have experience in facilitating outdoor recreation experiences, teaching outdoor recreation leadership, recruiting and supervising field staff, curriculum development, and an interest in/experience with student affairs and student development.Potential applicants should visit our website to review our faculty expertise and existing undergraduate courses.
