Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Research Physician to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT, as a Principal Investigator. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in conducting clinical evaluations of healthy volunteers and patients for specific studies, ensuring adherence to protocols and regulatory standards. The role involves overseeing study conduct, ensuring subject safety, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve project goals. You will support cutting edge research and industry leading early-phase projects, ultimately making a difference in patience care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical evaluations of study subjects, including thorough medical history and physical examinations.

  • Review and assess laboratory results, eligibility criteria, and safety parameters in accordance with study protocols.

  • Provide study supervision and protocol adherence.

  • Prescribe study drugs and ensure correct dosage and administration procedures.

  • Assist with venous access procedures, sample collection, and safety assessments.

  • Monitor subjects for adverse events and initiate appropriate actions as per clinical judgment.

  • Complete case report forms and present safety issues at clinical meetings.

  • Maintain effective communication with nursing staff, sponsors, and stakeholders.

  • Participate in protocol development, ethics committee meetings, and study reporting.

  • Stay updated on medical and pharmaceutical industry trends and best practices.

  • Contribute to professional development and training initiatives.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD/ DO or equivalent) with active licensure, preferably in internal or family medicine, but other specialties will be considered.

  • Board certification or eligibility in relevant medical specialty.

  • Have current Utah state medical licensure or have ability to obtain Utah state medical licensure.

  • Experience in clinical research, preferably in pharmaceutical or CRO setting.

  • Strong understanding of ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.

  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

  • Able to work daily from our Salt Lake City Clinic.
