BAYADA Direct Support Professionals - DSPs work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disability to help them reach their full potential.

We currently have alot of community hours and personal care hours needed in this area. If you have experience in either one, we are happy to talk through the options in this area.

We have job openings in the following locations:

Salisbury/ China Grove

• Part time afternoons (3:30-7:30 and 1p-9p times)

• Weekends (Community and Personal Care/Wheelchair needs)

• M,W,F 9a-3p

• Wed 1p-9p and Saturdays

• E/O week Wed-Wed 3p-8a. Sat/Sun 6a-10p (Client lives alone/Independent support)

Job Responsibilities for DSPs:

• You will provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)

• You will accompany clients on errands and appointments

• You will spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities

• You will assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation

• You will participate in community integration activities

Qualifications for DSPs:

• One year experience working with I/DD individuals; If you do not have this experience, training is available through our apprentice program

• High school diploma or equivalent
