Your role and responsibilities

As an Architect in IBM Consulting, you'll serve as a leader in defining solutions for clients. You'll be the advocate for the client while guiding the technical team to implementation. You'll collaborate with client stakeholders and internal partners to understand the business problem and requirements, constraints of the system and concerns of the various stakeholders to systematically transform detailed solutions (architectures) for the client. Your primary responsibilities include: Strategic Analysis and Modernized Solution Design: Analyze and translate IT requirements using modernization frameworks into components of a modernized solution. Agile Development and Cloud Application Testing: Develop and test applications in cloud environments and be part of Delivery/Engagement teams. Optimize Digital Modernization Assets and Methods: Reuse and enhance Digital modernization assets, methods, and collateral. Innovative Cloud Infrastructure Solutions and Collaboration: Collaborate in the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure solutions and services for our customer's needs.

Required technical and professional expertise

• Strong understanding of cloud computing, hybrid cloud, and AI technologies

• Experience with IBM software and Red Hat technologies

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience with Agile development methodologies and cloud application testing

• Strong collaboration and leadership skills to guide technical teams

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements

• Understanding of modernization frameworks and ability to translate IT requirements into modernized solutions

• Experience with digital modernization assets, methods, and collateral

• Strong innovative thinking and problem-solving skills to design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions

• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance from the US federal government

Preferred technical and professional experience

• IBM certification in IT architecture, software development, or a related field

• Experience with cloud infrastructure solutions and services

• Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance

• Experience with DevOps and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines

• Strong understanding of AI and machine learning technologies

• Experience with IBM Watson and other AI-powered solutions

• Strong understanding of data analytics and data science

• Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
