Summary

We are recruiting for a Senior Solutions Architect who will:

• Maintain application landscape design, ensuring applications fit well together.

• Review yearly audit results and recommend solutions to ensure resolution and compliance in future audits.

• Collaborate with other architects and IT teams to create and maintain proper application documentation.

• Ensure that the key business applications like SAP S/4HANA system is used to its full capability based on business requirements.

• Develop a strong relationship with the Information Security team, to assist them in keeping the enterprise network secure.

• During unplanned downtime events, this role will be a point of escalation, offering expert technical guidance as needed.

• Provide guidance and expertise to Project Workstream throughout the entire project life cycle.

This role is onsite at our Corporate Salisbury, MD offices. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Lead a virtual team to design and plan all applications and cloud-based technology solutions with a focus on adherence to best practices, and architecture design and documentation.

2. Set document standards and oversee maintenance of documentation for all components of the application landscape. Ensure adoption of these standards, and consolidation of all documentation are completed and regularly maintained.

3. Stay current with latest technology trends, SAP S/4HANA latest developments, and best practices. Evaluate new technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve business processes and drive digital transformation

4. Collaborate with Information Security team to ensure security standards are adopted and maintained throughout the application landscape.

5. Provide technical leadership and expertise to project teams. Collaborate with developers, consultants, and business analysts to ensure the successful delivery of IT solutions.

6. Mentor others in IT, focusing on design, planning and technical knowledge transfer.

7. Work directly with multiple levels within the IT, Perdue business, and Vendor organizations to understand relevant product & service roadmaps and the integration into the current Perdue landscape.

8. Participate in the annual reviews of vendor roadmaps and comparing to Perdue’s roadmaps (IBM, Salesforce, SAP, etc.).

Minimum Education and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information System or equivalent work experience

• 7+ years’ experience designing and implementing enterprise applications

• 2+ years of experience with cloud solution design

• 3+ years in an application architecture role

• Proven experience as an SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect, with a track record of successful implementations.

• In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA modules, including Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, and Manufacturing.

• Strong understanding of SAP best practices, methodologies, and tools.

• Knowledge of Information Security best practices and how they are implemented to protect on- premises and cloud-based applications.

• Experience with cloud solution design

• Strong written and oral communication skills, to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and abilities of new technologies

Experience Preferred

• Cloud certifications

• SAP S/4HANA certification is highly desirable.

• Process/Protein Manufacturing industry experience

• Project Management experience

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in an open-partition cubical environment and from home.

• May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.

• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required

• Ability to lift and install IT equipment as required.
