Summary
This role is responsible for overseeing the IT portfolio of Projects. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project and portfolio management, capable of driving organizational change and ensuring that projects align with the company’s strategic objectives.
This newly created position will be responsible for advising, guiding, and tracking multiple large-scale projects running simultaneously, ensuring projects are resourced, stay on the targeted timelines, and within budget. This position will work closely with cross functional teams to drive various projects, process improvements, and ultimately key results aligned with Business results.
This is a working leader position that will mentor project managers and ensure that all projects are executed effectively while driving adoption of a consistent set of tools to the organization, ensuring project management discipline and building overall organizational capability.
The salary range for this position is $165,000 - $247,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement the IT PMO strategy in alignment with organizational goals, ensuring that project management practices support business objectives.
Project Management: Develop, implement, and govern project management processes, tools, templates, policies, and metrics.
Governance and Compliance: Establish governance frameworks to ensure compliance with project management methodologies, standards, and best practices across all projects.
Portfolio Management : Oversee the portfolio of projects, supporting prioritization of initiatives based on strategic value, risk assessment, and resource availability.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor project performance through key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular updates to executive leadership on progress, risks, and issues.
Team Development: Coach and mentor project management practitioners and share knowledge of best practices, ensuring adoption of Perdue methodologies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior IT Leadership to define project priorities and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and support for initiatives.
Change Management: Support change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions during project execution and address resistance and promote acceptance among stakeholders.
Minimum Education and Experience
Required: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field and a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position within a PMO environment.
The ideal candidate must also have:
Expertknowledge of project management methodologies, techniques, and processes in IT projects
Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects and portfolios
Strong budget, cost, and profitability management skills
Proficiency in project management software packages and resource management tools
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and drive results
Demonstrated experience working in matrixed environments with the ability to influence without authority
Flexible, adaptable, and resourceful attitude when managing changing timelines and multiple deliverables
Demonstrated stakeholder and vendor management experience
Motivation to build relationships at all levels with technology, solutions, customers, and vendor partner groups
Exceptional communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement
Preferred: Masters Degree and Certifications including but not limited to PMP (Project Management Professional), PgMP (Program Management Professional), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner)
Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment.
