We are hiring a Distribution Analyst at our Salina, KS facility. This position is responsible for collecting and analyzing data associated with the operation of storage and distribution of goods within a cold storage network. Detailed data analysis focused on operational improvement, cost reduction, quality, and customer service to the network.

    Responsibilities:

  • Follow safety guideline and rules; GMPS; HACCP checks; food safety requirements; and all company policies.

  • Responsible to conduct yourself in a manner consistent with Schwan’s company mission, values, code of ethics policies, and other standards of conduct.

  • Develop operational data analysis supporting labor management, performance improvement, cost reduction, and customer service gains.

  • Analyze operational data to identify and prioritize areas of focus.

  • Participate in the DMS process and lead the development of performance metrics and communication boards.

  • Lead and participate in problem solving activities with cross functional teams.

  • Use project management tools to define project requirements and milestones, track progress, resolve problems, communicate progress, and recommend actions.

  • Become familiar and help collect data associated with cycle counting and inventory records accuracy.

  • Tracking load data monitoring key measurables impacting DC and Network cost.

  • General communication and professional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of co-workers, management, and executive staff workers.

  • Reviews and/or prepares and assures accuracy of various operational reports.

  • Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.

    Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Years of Related Experience: Typically, 1-3 years of experience.

  • General knowledge of Inventory, Record Accuracy, Cycle Counting Procedures, Inventory Control Procedures, Food Safety Requirements, Warehousing, and Distribution.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, statistical tools, and dashboarding tools.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and successfully leverage internal and external resources.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments, deadlines and achieve objectives.

  • Effective communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.

  • Strong communication and reasoning skills to provide a positive work environment.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret visual dashboards.

  • Ability to comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.

  • Self-motived, reliable, ability to multi-task and problem solve.

  • Must be able to lift fifty (50) lbs., stand and walk for long periods of time, work in various temperature environments.
