Salida School District R-32-J English Language Arts Teacher/Salida High School in Salida, Colorado
Position: English Language Arts Teacher/Salida High School
Duties: Teaches Language Arts classes. Ability to work with and create a positive rapport with students and the general public. Demonstrate successful teaching experience with high school students as well as a personal commitment to constant improvement as a teacher. A commitment to continuing enhancement of the learning experience. A commitment to work within the philosophy, standards, curriculum, scope, and sequence of the Language Arts departments. Perform other duties as appropriate in support of the high school program. Teacher is expected to participate in district development of curriculum and instruction.
Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age; pass background and drug test. Selected applicant must verify experience, hold a valid Colorado Department of Education of teaching certificate, or qualify for an Alternative License. Successful teaching experience. Be able to work effectively and create a positive rapport with students, staff, administration, parents and community members.
Other Requirements: Successful teaching experience. Preference will be given to candidates with multiple endorsements. Be familiar with state Reading, Writing, and Communicating standards. Experience using technology to support instruction.
Wages: Pay is $42,500.00 annually; paid monthly.
Job Location: Salida, Co.
Shift: This is a full-time position; 32 hours per week. Will work Monday through Thursday, hours to be set by employer. Employer has one position to begin August 5th, 2024. Closing date of application open until filled.
