Nelnet Team Lead – Marketing Automation – NBS in Salem, Oregon

The Team Lead for Marketing Automation supervises a team of Marketing Automation Specialists, which includes daily oversight, coaching, direction, training, and performance management. In addition, this position is responsible for the operation of the automated marketing platform (Salesforce Pardot), including building and supporting standard programs, such as email communications, lead capture, lead nurturing, and integration with CRM. The Team Lead works with Marketing Managers, the Content Strategist, and Creative Team to implement marketing automation best practices and executes marketing campaigns and client communications. This position also supports the onboarding and training of new team members onto the platform as needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Interview, hire, and ensure proper onboarding and training of new team members.

  2. Hold team members accountable to a high standard of attendance, performance, behavior, and policy adherence.

  3. Review performance, coach, and develop team members to promote growth and overall performance improvement.

  4. Conduct periodic team meetings to communicate information to team members and provide an avenue for team members to communicate ideas.

  5. Set and track individual and team goals.

  6. Work with Marketing Team and business stakeholders to plan, build and execute email communications, marketing automation campaigns, and nurture programs in a flexible and timely manner that meets business objectives.

  7. Monitor, analyze and report on critical metrics, including email marketing results and engagement, through the customer journey.

  8. Implement best practices for outbound and inbound marketing, content marketing, lead scoring, lead nurturing and data hygiene.

  9. Document processes, including workflow and QA testing, to improve efficiency and reduce risk of human error.

  10. Support the implementation of test strategies, including AB multi-variant testing, to drive qualified traffic and revenue-building activities, ensuring maximum profitability.

  11. Understand and maintain responsive email and landing page templates that meet standards and are cross-browser compatible.

  12. Build and send emails including layout, design, content, messaging, review and segmentation, and list management.

  13. Work with corporate email team to understand and implement best practices for deliverability, sender reputation, as well as CANSPAM and other regulatory procedures.

  14. Work with creative and digital teams to update and/or develop templates and workflows as needed.

  15. Provide training and documentation for new and existing users.

Salary Range - $60,000 - $90,000

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (Marketing or Advertising preferred).

EXPERIENCE:

  1. 3-5 years marketing experience, specifically working with a marketing automation or email delivery platform.

  2. Marketing automation or email delivery experience.
