Job Description

At OCI Developer Platform we offer a highly available, integrated, and scalable platform to securely build, test and deploy enterprise-grade apps and services on the cloud. We seek Engineering Managers who are hands-on and have the necessary expertise and passion to lead teams in solving complex problems related to distributed systems and cloud-native technologies and developing new services that address customer issues. This role will manage the development of a new workflow orchestration service.

As an Engineering Manager, you should be a distributed systems generalist who can design extensive system interactions while being very hands-on and able to investigate any part of the stack and lower-level system interactions.

You should value simplicity and scalability, feel comfortable working in a collaborative, agile environment, and be excited to learn.

You will be responsible for:

1. Ensuring high availability and operational posture of your service

2. Setting the roadmap by negotiating requirements and deliverables with product management, internal and external customers

3. Developing project development plans

4. Driving the team to deliver on availability and roadmap commitments

Career Level - M3

Responsibilities

· Own a high scale, distributed cloud service

· Provide leadership, direction and strategy for a team of senior engineers

· Manage and deliver on a large portfolio of key OCI initiatives with a special emphasis on Developer Platform

· Develop a prioritized roadmap of products, features and engineering asks

· Drive the delivery of roadmap commitments on time with high quality

· Work closely with a variety of stakeholders (other OCI teams, Oracle Corp teams, product management) to ensure cross-organizational dependencies are managed effectively

· Provide regular updates to executive management

US: Hiring Range: from $112,300 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
