Aerotek Shop Helper in SALEM, Oregon

Job Title: Shop Helper

Job Description

The job duties include cleaning, painting, and minor repair of crane components and accessories. Must be able to assist with rigging for the loading and unloading of equipment, follow all safety procedures, and all standard operating procedures.

Clean and prepare crane components, including scraping concrete from crane towers and cleaning and buffing pins/bolts for tower sections using hand grinders/bench grinders.

Repair crane and hoist components using basic mechanic hand tools. Learn and operate shop machinery and power tools. Utilize proper rigging equipment. Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on tools and shop equipment.

Ensure lifting equipment is in safe operating condition prior to use. Adapt to changes in the work environment and multi-task to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.

Follow all company safety rules, policies, and procedures at all times, including the proper usage of company-supplied PPE as required, including hard hats, safety glasses, body harnesses, etc. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
